Owner's Biography:
Theresa Hogerheide-Reusch is a graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design. She has more than 20 years of interior design experience. Along with a variety of residential interior consultations, she has designed commercial interiors including: public meeting rooms, open and private offices, cafeterias, and call centers. Theresa also designs custom finishes for a variety of applications.
In 1999, Theresa founded and led the Eco-Sensitive Design Study Group in Grand Rapids, MI. She is also a former staff member of the West Michigan Environmental Action Council. Through these experiences and others she developed her expertise in eco-design principles and the use of sustainable materials and processes.
In 2004 Theresa began working in collaboration with Catalyst Partners, reviewing LEED for Commercial Interiors (LEED-CI) project submittals for U.S. Green Building Council certification. She also assisted manufacturing clients in assessing their products environmental qualities aand building project teams to employ sustainable products and processes.
Today, in her capacity as Certification Auditor for the Green Building Certification Institute (a subsidiary of the U. S. Green Building Council), Theresa serves as technical building subject matter expert and internal consultant to GBCI and certification bodies that review projects under the LEED Green Building Rating Systems.
